Drôlerie is a French term used for the grotesques or comical scenes found in the borders of medieval illuminated manuscripts. The images that appear have no relation to the text and are usually mixed creatures, half man half beast or mixed with plants.
This collage was made using analog and digital techniques, printed on high quality archival paper and protected with UV Hahnemühle varnish. Was pasted on a beautiful hand made wood panel, painted in deep indigo blue with gilded strokes and borders, aged and finished with beeswax.
There is only one copy of that work, which makes it a very special and valuable item. This Collage comes signed and with their certificate of authenticity.
