This Little Red Robin was photographed one crisp winter day while the artist was out geocaching and exploring nature. They are beautiful little birds that sit still only for a second before flying off and are a delight to see in the forest glens. Often only a flash of red is seen but if you quiet and don't rush they allow you more time to study them. The more you study them, the more you discover for there are quite a few variations of Red Robins, there's the Pink and Rose Robins, the Flame Robin and Scarlet Robins and the Red capped Robin. I hope you enjoy this little one. This artwork has been published in CyberWit India Volume 11 Number 1 JAN. 2018 Harvests of New Millennium. Editor Dr. Santosh Kumar, May 2018.

      Resumen

This is one artwork from an ongoing series of artworks depicting Australian birds that are photographed by husband and wife team Steven and Susan Willemse mostly around Canberra, Australia’s Capital city.
Both wild and aviculture birds are photographed as the first Australian birds seen by the artist were in Africa with the family pet cockatiel and later two cockatoos that she grew to know and love so well.
The artist, Susan, uses acrylic paints and airbrush on stretched canvases to create these artworks and all are signed in pencil with the year of production at on the back of the canvas. They are then framed in natural floating frames with hard backs for added protection, some frames being hand-crafted from Victorian Ash a wood sourced in Australia making them one of a kind original and authentic artworks, thus all are issued with Certificates of Authenticity supplied by the artist. They can be shipped after packing, with warranties at cost worldwide.
What makes these artworks unique is that they are created using a lifetime of experimentation that includes art education in high school in different mediums, the study of cells under the microscope as a medical scientist where color, texture, shape, size, pattern and light were visually studied- work that the artist did for 31 years to prevent and diagnose cancer and that was both an art and a science, and the painting of a car to learn airbrushing technique, IT and photography that enables the accurate portrayal of these birds and of course a love of birds.
Susan’s aim as an artist is to share these beautiful birds to create mindfulness, smiles, wellness and health, social communication and so much more as she believes that art is healing, it is beneficial to mind and body and has a place in society as well. It was indeed art that helped heal CRPS or severe pain in 2016 that led to the study of neuroscience and positive psychology and eventually to creating a creative business in 2017 after Australia deemed the prevention of cervical cancer not cost effective in tried and tested means the same year. Susan welcome’s you to enjoy these birds as she does to create a better more understanding and caring world to live in, one where all people and animals are valued for she has witnessed greed and sadness too in her life. May everyone have Hope is her motto now!
More information regarding this art can be found on her website, social media that covers Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter, in art publications and art features, by making a booking to view the artwork in the artist’s brick and mortar Gallery directly while the artwork is still available or emailing the artist for more information. It’s not just a bird painting- it’s so much more!
