Francisco Uribe is a Cartagena painter who began his walks with painting, like everyone, from small, drawing scribbles ..., the elderly advised him to leave aside snake drawings of open or closed boas and be more interested in geography , history, calculation and grammar ... and that was how, at the age of six, he abandoned a magnificent career as a painter, discouraged by the failure of his drawings .... (The Little Prince pag.11)
However his curiosity led him to resume painting a few years later and set out on a journey to discover other worlds and discover other forms of life and thought that would help to reveal his own reality. He was fortunate enough to have crossed other artists to join in and share some of the secrets of the mysterious language of painting ..
He received his academic training in Ireland, and after five years of effort and dedication he obtained a well-deserved Diploma (Honor Degree in Fine Art Painting) at Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD). This year he is completing studies to Homologate his degree as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid.
Here he presents his collection of pastel drawings and oil paintings in which he has been working since he began his beginnings in Painting between Ireland and Madrid where he currently resides. The work and dedication employed in each of his works are part of an artistic process that opens up a possibility to re-know his painting, re-calculate his procedures and approach or face a little more closely the new challenges of visual language .
