Biography: |
Born in Argentina, I studied Philosophy and moved with my family to Spain where I currently live. I write children's stories, fantasy and supernatural mystery novels, and short stories. All my books are published on Amazon, in digital and paper versions. As a child I have always been attracted to stories, I have been a voracious reader and I loved drawing the stories I read. I have rediscovered this passion that is painting a few years ago, when I moved to the shores of the Mediterranean.
To talk about my experience with art, and with painting in particular, I necessarily have to refer to one of the fundamental stages of my life, which has been my childhood. And for this I will borrow the phrases of two authors who clearly express this experience: "We look at the world only once, in childhood. The rest is memory." Louise Glück; and: "The sun that reigned over my childhood deprived me of all resentment." Camus. When I paint, I experience the challenge and the opportunity to recapture the clean, judgment-free look of my childhood, the wonder and fascination with the beauty that is within my reach every day. For this reason my works are generally inspired by landscapes that evoke light, love and the innocent freedom of this stage of my life, which only through art and the contemplation of beauty can I experience again. In my most recent paintings, nature and female figures (girls and young people) share the leading role, expressing and symbolizing this experience. Who accompanies me on the trip currently is my kitten Bernardo |
