Born and raised in León, a city in the north of Spain, he always felt a special vocation for painting and art in general.
Despite having taken different painting courses and having attended and participated in competitions and exhibitions, José Ramón followed a more practical direction. for that moment of his existence, in the field of Health Sciences, since a career as a painter was considered a destination nowhere and at that moment he needed to have financial solvency. After graduating in Veterinary Medicine and an MBA, José Ramón joined the Health sector where he spent more than 30 years, still linked to the world of painting and art. In 2020 José Ramón lost his interest in the Health sector of the large Multinationals and took the risk of working as an artist full time. From 2022 it gives up certain habits to embrace more sustainable ones Jose Ramon Campomanes is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally. He describes his works as a reflection of his inner emotions, attractions, and lifestyle. Campomanes' works are inspired by nature, his travels and daily life. Most of the time he uses oil on canvas palette knife technique. |
