Iris Aneas is an award-winning Spanish painter who lives in the mountains surrounded by forests. In order to create, she needs to feel close to nature and her own inner self. The themes of her works focus on the protection, defense and liberation of nature, along with the celebration of the feminine spirit. She approaches her artistic process by listening to what the blank space asks of her, affirming that she transforms painting as painting transforms her, combining formal softness and emotional contrast. She also composes, produces and sings her own songs.
