Winner I "Ephemeral" contest 2012 (Córdoba)
It belongs to the series ink on canvas
This series consists of works made in the same technique represent two distinct issues:
Geometric abstract
Architectural references
The technique consists of an exercise to capture light in three stages:
Reflection: By means of concrete volumes in white acrylic, either in opaque forms or in transparencies.
Oxidation: It is very important to indicate that all the works are made with a single color of blue fountain ink that, depending on the amount of water added, the preparation of the canvas for the absorption of more or less water and exposure to the Sunlight allow to obtain a whole range of blues and ocher tones. It is through the oxidation of the ink exposed to sunlight or by separation of its metallic components another way of trapping light physically.
Movement: Using the red ink flashes include red or vibrant strokes that provide movement and contrast to the work. Always arranged antisymmetric way to decompensate the image and thus obtain movement.
Geometric abtstractos called? Spectrometric? They have been conceived as a set of inclined planes and transmitting interecados stylized movement. It is an interpretation of the position (outlined in red) spectrum of the chemical element and drawings represent possible positions.
The architectonic referents are deformed and represented in an expressionist way to obtain movement and sufficiently opaque and white planes that shoot down towards the spectator and break the leak and the harmony of the prespective to produce movement and illuminate in an antisymmetric way. The games of transparencies and textures mix stand out.
