Popularly known as "Palace of the Storks", its construction was ordered in the fifteenth century by D. Diego de Cáceres Ovando.
Its facade is made up of a door with long semicircular arch voussoirs, and above it, an ogee arch window flanked by two coats of arms with the arms of Ovando and Mogollón, all framed by a broken alfiz, with two mullioned windows. tumid arches and mullion in gray marble.
The tower stands out for its great height. It has a square floor plan, with granite ashlars at the corners and a protruding upper body supported by corbels and crowned by battlements. It is the only tower that did not suffer the lopping ordered by Queen Isabella the Catholic.
Inside it has a patio flanked by four galleries with columns with lowered arches on the ground floor and twinned with a hanging key in the upper part. A staircase leads from this patio, giving access to the tower and fanning out around a Gothic pilaster.
Today it is the headquarters of the Cáceres Military Command.
