"States of Being"

I was interested in exploring how an initial image could transform into a dialogue between two internal impulses. I work with two almost identical figures to speak of duality through gesture and color.
Red and blue function as symbolic structures: red takes and directs; blue clings and seeks anchorage. This interpretation is supported by the composition: one hand on the ground, the other on the jacket, and a face held firmly in place.

Sensuality appears as a formal resource, not as an end: it allows me to work on tension, balance and the coexistence of opposing forces through light, the pressure of the hands and the proximity of bodies.
