Summary of the original work
Dimensions 9 cm wide x 14 cm high.
Year: 2025
This series of masks is born from the artist's deep need to explore identity, transformation, and human emotions through abstraction and color. Each piece emerges from an introspective process that interweaves memories, intuitions, and fragments of personal experiences. The mask, far from hiding, becomes a vehicle of expression here: a way of making the intangible visible. Each work (more than 30 pieces) is the result of a symbolic and material search. They are attempts to name the unnameable, to give substance to the invisible. The forms that emerge contain traces of thoughts, moods, and contradictions that run through the artist. When materialized, these presences invite the viewer to question the idea of identity as something fixed, revealing instead its fragmentary, changing, and emotional nature.
This project is also a defense of slow time, manual gestures, and patient labor. Each mask is a layer of reflection transformed into an object, a synthesis between the intimate and the collective. They condense a poetics of the human that doesn't seek answers, but rather poses questions through matter, color, and form.
