My name: Sergio José Cabeza Carreño. I was born in a coastal city called Güiria: in Sucre State, Venezuela on October 7, 1964, I am the second of 4 siblings.
Since 1978, I have participated in various exhibitions, individual and collective. I work painting and drawing, applying different techniques: either acrylic, oil, enamel, inks, etc. I am not pigeonholed into a single topic or trend but I try to update myself. I like to paint figurative art but I also do abstractionism and surrealism. In addition to painting, I develop myself writing post, novels and poetry. Since 2002 I have been working on photography in a small studio, in the center of the city of Shaker. I give art workshops and conferences on theology topics. At present, I am writing some novels and articles about art and general culture, on blogs. I have a history of 42 uninterrupted years working and exhibiting my works of art. |
