Now with this title you can find what you read. There is a big variety of reactions from the people watching it. There's this hat, this cup of tea, this letter like trees, etc. Usually I am not a big fan of doing landscape like paintings, but if we talk about surrealism, I most of the time like to do it. Kind of a double feeling.

What I love to do in my surrealism pieces is to combine real with the unreal. Or so to say, imagination, with reality. Optical illusion is very often used in the surrealism world, to me it is what surrealism truly is; optical illusion. We see things in ways we probably shouldn't see them. So explaining you this through my title from this painting (60x70cm) is like saying, why not doing something crazy?

Drinking a cup of tea, with ants? With any animal? I imagined people at home with their pats, talking to them while having some tea. That is why the mountains are in a human like shape. I am Dutch, so I like the water, river or ocean, just any. Nature is a big source for my inspiration. So just take a closer look and see what more you can find...

Está este sombrero, esta taza de té, estas letras como árboles, etc. Normalmente no soy un gran fanático de pintar paisajes como pinturas, pero si hablamos de surrealismo, la mayoría de las veces me gusta hacerlo. Una especie de doble sentimiento.

Lo que me encanta hacer en mis piezas de surrealismo es combinar lo real con lo irreal. O por así decirlo, la imaginación, con la realidad. La ilusión óptica se usa muy a menudo en el mundo del surrealismo, para mí es lo que realmente es el surrealismo; ilusión óptica. Vemos las cosas de maneras que probablemente no deberíamos verlas. Así que explicarte esto a través del título de este cuadro (60x70cm) es como decir, ¿por qué no hacer una locura?

¿Beber una taza de té con hormigas? ¿Con algún animal? Me imaginaba a la gente en casa dándose palmaditas, hablando con ellos mientras tomaban un té. Por eso las montañas tienen forma humana. Soy holandesa, así que me gusta el agua, el río o el océano, cualquiera. La naturaleza es una gran fuente de inspiración. Así que eche un vistazo más de cerca y vea qué más puede encontrar...
