| Biography: |
He began painting from childhood until he began and completed his university studies. All of his early work is done in acrylic. Expressiveness and ease are constant in these works, where he deploys overlapping planes of color and expresses ideas based on realistic compositions. The themes range from figures to furniture and vegetation. These are colorful compositions with freshness and loose strokes. Later, although he already knew and practiced techniques such as charcoal, graphite, tempera painting, textures, pastel or oil, he experimented with the latter and developed a technique with color arrangements developed by alternating glazes and areas with more paste, creating compositions more based on the contemporaneity that surrounds him, always looking at those references that he feels contribute something to him, artists from different periods in history. These are elaborate works in which he is interested in everyday scenes and he works documenting them with photography. He looks for characters and situations or environments that he adapts to his compositions. I don't think he has a specific style. There's realism, impressionism, a touch of expressionism... It's a constant process of change and evolution toward new compositions with different themes but with common elements like nature, vegetation, and the human figure. Women are the focal point of one of his most extensive series. Also the furniture, searching for the interior of the ideal home or that terrace where you can relax dreaming of life's pleasures. His professional career took a break from 1990 to 2002 due to personal and family circumstances. He has been teaching in the field of Fine Arts for over twenty years. As Leon Battista Alberti, the great humanist theorist of the Renaissance, said, "The artist in this social context must not be a simple craftsman, but an intellectual prepared in all disciplines and in all fields." “Her works are a remarkable example of the artist's ability. Amaya is a classic of the great masters of Impressionism, and her works are a true compilation of all the traits that define realism.” Amaya Fariza was born in Bilbao, graduated in Fine Arts, was an academic painter, and was a member of the Biscayan Painters Association. Admired for her Impressionist themes and pure realism in the painting of human figures. In Colorido, she dominates cold and warm tones, and green colors appear in a wide range; the color variation is visible in the soils, in the grass, and in the figures she paints within the landscape. The landscapes exhibited here are an example of her bold conception that goes beyond Impressionism. Her message stands out in reference to life and its continuous renewal. She captures this in nature, or in human figures that convey youth and life. In her works of nature, I observe her concern for the tender leaves that have just sprouted, and this seems to me to be a personal message from the artist. There is a specific approach that consecrates branches and leaves with plants. She is concerned with women and youthful themes. An artist with a long career and a very fine education, she is modern in all aspects of her work. — Abdul Kader Al Khalil (Aleppo, Syria) — Art critic EXHIBITIONS Max Center Gallery Exhibition Barakaldo Spain 2025 Selected Work Exhibition Omorfia Gallery Cadiz Spain 2025 January Exhibition: Selected Work at La Casa Castilla La Mancha.
