Biography: Verónica Bejarano Jiménez was born in Cádiz in 1987 although her childhood was developed in Rota. At the age of 19 years he moved to Granada where he discovered the courses taught by the Albaycín Center where he took several courses such as "El Tapial in the old buildings", "Photography and digital retouching of the historical-cultural heritage" and "Artistic photography: technique of the leaded ". It is also there where his interest in ceramics is awakened, obtaining the title of artisan Ceramist.
In 2010, he enters the School of Arts and Crafts of Granada obtaining the title of Superior Degree in Artistic Ceramics.
In 2011 he takes the course ¨Preparation of ceramic pastes for large format pieces¨ organized by the Robles-Pozo Foundation and taught by the ceramist Agustín Ruiz de Almodóvar.
In 2012 he moves to Berlin where he continues his training in the studio ¨manuFACTORY¨ by the ceramist Uta Koloczeck, learning the techniques of casting and decorating the third fire.
After returning to Rota and establishing his workshop in the town, his work is oriented to the experimentation of enamels based on ashes, the modification of ceramic pastes and the conformation of organic and dynamic forms.
Currently his work focuses on the mixture of materials such as wood, metal, ceramics and glass with special attention to the latter. His pieces are characterized by the combination of abstract forms, organic textures and dynamic lines. The search for the spontaneous, the passing of time leaving a mark on the materials as well as the omnipresence of fire as a transforming element are its hallmarks.
