| Biography: | Just because you like something doesn't mean you're passionate about something. When I was little I liked to paint but I didn't realize how much I was passionate about it until I went to a painting academy. After that came others and continuous self-taught learning. More than thirty years have passed since then. The techniques I use are oil and acrylic, brushes, spatula, depending on the result I want to achieve. The themes are varied since I like to experiment and paint different motifs that attract my attention. However, black and white portraits with touches of color are one of my favorite paintings since it is not just about painting a character, there is a job of observing and capturing their features, mainly their gaze...quite intense. My style is realistic but, with the exception of portraits, I make an interpretation of what I see and although the result is still realistic, it is not a copy of reality. I am not usually faithful to the exact model, regardless of the theme, since I like there to be a certain creativity in my paintings. |
