Artist's Statement
My Paintings are created to be a part of the wider genre of American Impressionism. I have been greatly influenced by several schools of painting from the Barbizon to the Ash-can School ... I use traditional methods and materials in an effort to make my paintings timeless and provoke contemplation of both technique and subject matter. I want the viewer to relate to my feelings and associate with my contemplation and efforts to echo human, mood, thought and condition in this corporeal world. Creating beauty and delight for my viewers are crucial elements of my work. |
