Mariano E. Rodríguez es fotógrafo profesional, cineasta, escritor, director teatral, pintor autodidacta y licenciado en filosofía. Nació en Paraná, Entre Ríos, Argentina, en 1983. En 1997 inició sus estudios en AFPER, obteniendo el título de fotógrafo profesional. Continúa su instrucción en Una Foto Escuela donde se especializa en fotografía artística y publicitaria y procesos antiguos como goma bicromada, Van Dyke, cámara estenopeica, composición de emulsiones, laboratorio de blanco y negro y color, composición química de películas y papeles fotográficos y Sistema de Zonas bajo el Teorías de Ansel Adams. Se traslada a Buenos Aires donde estudia teoría de la imagen y el color en la Escuela Argentina de Fotografía obteniendo el título de Técnico Superior en Fotografía e Imagen.
En los años siguientes estudió dirección cinematográfica en el Instituto de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales de la ciudad de Santa Fe, disciplina que complementó con su formación en dirección teatral en el Instituto “Prof. Colegio Constancio Carminio” de Paraná, Entre Ríos. En 2007 publicó “La Curva del Muslo”, su primer libro de poesía. Escribe y dirige dos obras de teatro, “El ideal del adversario” y “El hombre inmoral”. La puesta en escena de este último tuvo lugar en el teatro independiente “La Sonrisa de Beckett”, en el otoño de 2010 en Rosario. En 2009 diseña y produce “Bello & Sublime Magazine”, una revista digital de arte y cultura con producciones de artistas locales (Paraná) entre los que podemos mencionar a los diseñadores gráficos Juan Barbagelata, Fabia Estamatti y Natalia Hallam; el pintor Javier Solari y la escritora María Elena Barbieri. También realiza cortometrajes experimentales y trabajó como director de fotografía para producciones cinematográficas de autor. En 2014 deja todo lo relacionado con la producción fotográfica y audiovisual. Comienza sus estudios universitarios y cuatro años después obtiene la licenciatura en Filosofía. En el ámbito profesional ha participado en exposiciones colectivas e individuales en Chile, Cuba, España, París y Argentina, y sus obras forman parte del Centro de Imagen Aella París, Francia; la Fototeca Iberoamericana de Cuba, La Habana; y el Centro de Imagen “Los Lavaderos”, Tenerife. Ha participado en conferencias sobre la importancia de la imagen en los medios de comunicación, dictadas por la fotógrafa Elda Harrington, y sus producciones han ilustrado catálogos y libros de fotografía, con mención especial para la portada del libro “Desnudos alrededor del mundo” de Peter Delius. y Jacek Slaski, publicado por Bruckmann Verlag, Munich. La estética del autor fue un estímulo para que críticos de arte como el español Javier Cabrera escribieran: “El argentino Mariano Rodríguez deduce miradas convergentes que se centran en el retrato con una suerte de sutileza que lleva a contemplar puntos equidistantes de un mismo tema. En Mariano Rodríguez, los retratados invaden el lente con el fin de fijar su diferenciación. Personajes “iluminados” ocupan el campo focal y afirman: “porque me distingo del resto, soy igual a mi tribu, porque soy…”. En el ámbito académico publicó artículos sobre la concepción del mal: “La Cosmética del Mal” y el problema del lenguaje: “Los límites de Agustín en el mundo de Wittgenstein” y “Aurea Mediocritas”. Asistió a los seminarios de Filosofía Medieval “Conflictos Religiosos y Filosóficos en la Antigüedad Tardía” impartidos por los Doctores en Filosofía Juan Carlos Alby, Diego Santos y Pablo Ubierna. RES. CD. Nº 1539/2017. Formó parte de la conferencia “Epistemología y Metáfora” declarada de Interés Académico, coordinada por la Dra. Esther Díaz. Asimismo, fue disertante en las Jornadas de Literatura Inglesa “Shakespeare Fundamental” en el marco del SEU y Derechos Humanos, aprobada por Res. 1319/2016 FHAYCS, donde presentó la traducción y estudio del poema Paracelso de Robert Browning, publicado en 1835. Mariano E. Rodríguez is a professional photographer, filmmaker, writer, theater director, self-taught painter and graduate in philosophy. He was born in Paraná, Entre Ríos, Argentina, in 1983. In 1997 he began his studies at AFPER, obtaining the title of professional photographer. He continues his instruction at Una Foto Escuela where he specializes in artistic and advertising photography and ancient processes such as bichrome rubber, Van Dyke, pinhole camera, emulsion composition, black and white and color laboratory, chemical composition of photographic films and papers and System of Zones under the Theories of Ansel Adams. He moved to Buenos Aires where he studied image and color theory at the Argentine School of Photography, obtaining the title of Higher Technician in Photography and Image. In the following years he studied film direction at the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts of the city of Santa Fe, a discipline that he complemented with his training in theater direction at the “Prof. Constancio Carminio School” of Paraná, Entre Ríos. In 2007 he published “La Curva del Muslo”, his first book of poetry. He writes and directs two plays, “The Ideal of the Adversary” and “The Immoral Man.” The staging of the latter took place at the independent theater “La Sonrisa de Beckett”, in the fall of 2010 in Rosario. In 2009 he designed and produced “Bello & Sublime Magazine”, a digital art and culture magazine with productions by local artists (Paraná) among whom we can mention the graphic designers Juan Barbagelata, Fabia Estamatti and Natalia Hallam; the painter Javier Solari and the writer María Elena Barbieri. He also makes experimental short films and worked as a director of photography for author film productions. In 2014 he left everything related to photographic and audiovisual production. He began his university studies and four years later obtained a degree in Philosophy. In the professional field he has participated in group and individual exhibitions in Chile, Cuba, Spain, Paris and Argentina, and his works are part of the Aella Image Center Paris, France; the Ibero-American Photo Library of Cuba, Havana; and the “Los Lavaderos” Image Center, Tenerife. He has participated in conferences on the importance of the image in the media, given by the photographer Elda Harrington, and his productions have illustrated catalogs and photography books, with special mention for the cover of the book “Nudes around the world” by Peter Delius. and Jacek Slaski, published by Bruckmann Verlag, Munich. The author's aesthetics was a stimulus for art critics such as the Spanish Javier Cabrera to write: “The Argentinian Mariano Rodríguez deduces convergent views that focus on the portrait with a kind of subtlety that leads to contemplating equidistant points of the same subject. In Mariano Rodríguez, those portrayed invade the lens in order to establish their differentiation. “Enlightened” characters occupy the focal field and state: “because I distinguish myself from the rest, I am equal to my tribe, because I am…”. In the academic field he published articles on the conception of evil: “The Cosmetics of Evil” and the problem of language: “The limits of Augustine in the world of Wittgenstein” and “Aurea Mediocritas”. He attended the Medieval Philosophy seminars “Religious and Philosophical Conflicts in Late Antiquity” taught by Doctors of Philosophy Juan Carlos Alby, Diego Santos and Pablo Ubierna. BEEF. CD.
