Biografía: ROBERT
Robert was born in 1967 in Celje. As an amateur painter, he began to paint more actively in 2000. From 2002 to 2017 he was a member of the Ljubljana’s Artists Association (Društvo likovnikov Ljubljana), since 2012 he is a member of the international organization Union Scipt and in 2015 he joined the association DLU Rifnik Šentjur for four years. For three years he worked at the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Celje under the mentorship of academic painter Djemail Djokovic. Robert creates in various techniques, from pencil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic to oil. The motifs are different, lately landscapes, sports motifs and portraits stand out. At one of his exhibitions, art critic Mag. Ivanka Zajc Cizelj said: "The painter speaks to us with clearly identifiable motives that are simple and clearly recognizable. The style is free, warm, obedient to the painter's soul and adapted to the goal. "
So far, he has had 20 solo and 30 group exhibitions and has also participated in several art colonies and ex-temples. His works of art have found new owners all over the world (Austria, Germany, Croatia, Great Britain, USA ...)

The author is dedicated, besides the landscape and veduti, to other visual motifs in a wide range of painting and drawing techniques, linking stylistic to romantic, realistic and impressionistic traditions. It should be emphasized that it takes into account the perspective rules of both the plastic (realistic) and the picturesque (naturalistic) style, thereby providing a markedly deep illusion, while simultaneously reflecting the correct image proportions. Robert is motivated and technologically diverse, with his acrylic streams and, in general, human or animal figural compositions (for example the graphite drawing of the ballet, the pastel Rottweiler or his Bernese mountain Dog etc.) created in a plastic realistic style with emphasized three-dimensionality while mediating its landscapes in acrylic technique on canvas, due to fairly diluted colors, slight watercolor impression. The latter is not surprising, as Robert equally deals with watercolor technique. Quite apart from the above mentioned styles is the portrait of the Slovenian swimmer in the action, Peter Mankoč, who won nine consecutive European titles per 100 meters (which has never been achieved before). Robert is using the color and phase shift, as with graphics or moving focus in photography, to express the tension and dynamics of the champion during the competition. Mario Berdič, art critic, Maribor, October 2017

MONIKA
Monika was born in 1970 in Schorndorf in Germany. She spent her childhood years with her grandmother in a small village in Prekmurje, called Ocinje, and teenage years in Celje. She met Robert 27 years ago. They got married and welcomed three kids. Regarding painting, at the beginning she was only Robert’s hardest critic but later started to paint more actively by herself. Monika was also a member of the association DLU Rifnik Šentjur. The motifs are different but nature, both landscape and animals, stand out. In addition to painting on canvas she also paints other surfaces (umbrellas, flares, religious images and others, in acrylic technique). She also participated in the charity event called Umbrella Festival (Festival dežnikov) organized by the Lions Club Celje Mozaik. Monika is also increasingly involved in painting colonies and exhibitions, together with her husband or on her own. Lately, with Robert, they draw together pieces of art in larger formats, such as dimensions of 150 x 100 or more. These pieces combine their artistic energy. One such work (Bled) was also exhibited in India through AAMI Corporation from Ljubljana. They also participated with twenty-eight works at the biggest cultural event of 2019 in Slovenia, at the 2nd Art Expo at the Exhibition Center. One work (Lipizzaner) is currently on display in Prague, Czech Republic, also through AAMI Corporation.
