Dr. Rafael Llompart Machuc , born in Cadiz in 1978 , started his artistic journey at the age 16 assisting as a listener at drawing classes at the School of Visual Arts of Cadiz. He continued his academic training whilst enrolled as a student at the School of Arts of Granada and University of Granada combining studies in Interior Design and Art History.
As Rafael passion for design grew he continued to refine his skills at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Seville whilst simultaneously training as an artist. Any further free time was dedicated to completing an array of interior design projects across a broad spectrum of areas. His distinct style, categorised by his use of new and innovative techniques to traditional artistic design phases set himself apart from the masses early in his career. Following five highly successful years studying for his PHD, Rafael received his doctorate in Fine Arts from the University of Seville in 2009. Throughout he was able to balance his design studies whilst earning a living as highly sort after artist. This lead to his work been recognised and selected for numerous prizes in drawing and painting which included winning a national award. Rafael career continued to go from strength to strength with much of his work forming part of collections displayed in numerous public institutions. Currently his work is exhibited in exhibitions across Spain and wider Europe. His talents in Art and Design now also extend to teaching, with current roles at the University of Seville and School of Arts and Design of Jerez occupying much of his time. Despite this, Rafael has remained committed to improving his skills as an artist, continually seeking out new learning and innovative design techniques. |
