I once had a captivating encounter with Pablo Picasso's paintings in Madrid, where a collection of ten of his remarkable works left a lasting impression on me. Amongst them, the enigmatic "Woman with a Guitar" stood out, perplexing me as I searched in vain for the titular woman and instrument. Yet, I couldn't peel my eyes away from the painting, irresistibly drawn to its mystery. Indeed, there was an intangible quality to Picasso's art that spoke to me, enchanting me much like his other masterpieces.
Not long ago, I welcomed a new addition to my life—a feline friend whom I named Pablo, in homage to the great artist. One day, I decided to immortalize my beloved Pablito in the unmistakable style of Picasso, and the result was something truly special. Now, every time I put brush to canvas to create images of cats, my Pablito is my steadfast muse, guiding my hand and infusing my creations with his playful spirit. This connection has become so profound that I've taken to signing my "Cats" series with the moniker "Pablito" as a tribute to my furry companion and steadfast inspiration. It's safe to say that without Pablito, my artistic journey would lack its most vital source of inspiration. |
