I am William Rowan, I was born on April 23, 1985 in Leiden, the Netherlands. I completed my studies at the Da Vinci School in Leiden. From then on, I enhanced my professional capacity and skills as a painter, illustrator and portraitist. Highlighting acrylic on canvas, a technique used in portraits, abstract art paintings, pop-art, surrealism, etc.
I interpret painting as an act of illumination, as the experience of working through darkness into light. Light is a great revealer of things. "As long as you live, enjoy the light", I have always shared this idea, I find it fascinating that at any moment or when you least realize it, something important is happening, an experience that will not be repeated; that is about to disappear or possibly be forgotten, will never be recovered, unless you paint it. It's unbelievably wonderful, to have the ability and the ability to capture any moment or record those kinds of inspirations through painting. |
